Plane is fun but taxi still remains the funniest way to move in Madagascar! Streets are not streets but huge holes; cars are not cars but Renault & Citroens from the 70’s… Morondava is a quiet city on the west coast, people are friendly and the river makes you feel good. If you want to eat at 8 pm, better if you order before your evening shower, dishes are delicious specially if you didn’t wait 2 hours…
Everyone knows that baobabs are much bigger then we but it’s a real experience to walk on the baobab’s alley at sunset.
One day in Morondava it’s enough except if you want to see the Tsingy park by helicopter or in 4×4; we’ve missed for a good reason: Ile de Saint Marie in the Indian Ocean.
Don’t forget to taste the Mofo Baolina (mouf bol), a special sweet dumpling sold as street food.
